| This past winter, I traded my usual weight workouts for weighted vest walks. It was easy, cozy, and perfect for cold days. Plus our barn gym is not heated so grabbing on to metal bars isn’t fun. Anyway, with long sleeves and two layers of clothing, I didn’t notice what was quietly happening until late April. My once-shapely, strong arms were losing their tone. It really did feel like it happened overnight. It didn’t. Then came Torsades (because life loves a plot twist), and strength training took a full back seat. I’m still recovering, to be honest. My weight workout on Saturday still makes the area around my device achy with sharp occasional pain. It wasn’t until I was back in short sleeves that I really saw it. My arms weren’t the same. The definition was gone, the skin a little more delicate than I’d like. And for the first time, I thought: Whoa. These arm look 65, and I don’t like it. {Noted: they are 65 but then never looked it before.} But here’s the good news: I’m not giving up, and neither should you. I’m rebuilding my arms with what I call my Gorgeous Arm Protocol: 1. Strength Training — building the muscle underneath for firmness 2. Skin Stimulation — gua sha, suction cups, dry brushing 3. Targeted Topicals — to remodel skin + boost collagen/elastin 4. Supplements — smart nutrients for repair and retention 5. Nutrition — and this is where it all starts. Because here’s the truth: you can’t rebuild muscle, firm skin, or recover strength without enough protein. Period. Protein is what drives muscle memory, collagen production, and repair. Which is why September is officially Protein Month here in my world! But, hey, this is good any time of the year! Today is a great day to start. I’ll be sharing My Top Protein Hacks to hit your goals without feeling deprived and the 3 Body Comp Changes you’ll see when protein is dialed in – and, trust me, you want this. I’ll be discussing WHY women especially need more protein than they think as well as practical swaps + recipes you can use right away. So yes, I’m hitting my arms with training and tools, but it starts with my fork. If you want strong, gorgeous arms (and legs, core, glutes, skin… all of it), protein is step one. I’m writing up what I’m doing. Want my Gorgeous Arm Protocol when it’s ready to publish? Drop me an email at Linda@lindaslivingwell.com and I’ll put you on the VIP list to get a copy once I get it completed. Let’s show off our gorgeous, healthy, strong arms! 💜 Linda Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor, and this content isn’t meant to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition.
